4:45 came way too quickly this morning.
I was tempted (so tempted!) to hit snooze a few times and get some extra minutes of sleep, but I rolled out of bed, brushed my teeth, threw in my contacts, suited/laced up and walked out the front door.
As usual, this workout was not a regret.
3.91 miles in 34:49, averaging 8:53 per mile.
My pace continues to remain slower than it was during my Broad Street training, and I’m OK with that. I’ve been using this time “off” to relax with my running, and enjoy a slower pace without worrying about pushing myself too hard. I’ll save that for June 27th when half marathon training starts.
On a side note, I still remain tired most afternoons. I aim to get at least 7 hours of sleep in each day (idealy 7.5) so I’m not quite sure what is causing this lack of energy. Isn’t working out in the morning correlated to an increase in energy throughout the day? Any thoughts?
